PHP and PDO power the application. Start with SQLite, or configure MySQL/MariaDB for your installation. No Composer or npm is required to run the LMS.

This is the project introduction on GitHub Pages. The working LMS runs on your PHP server or in Docker. Pages does not host learner accounts or execute PHP.

Planned development
A dependable, accessible LMS for educator professional learning and small organizations. The roadmap is delivered in tested increments. Version 1.13 adds account controls, complete recovery, assignments, rubrics, and cohort schedules. Provider validation and institutional pilots remain planned.

What remainsNext: accessibility review and fixes, Firefox and Safari coverage, representative course-package tests, and broader SCORM support. Live SSO/LTI validation, SMTP TLS and scheduled reminders, nginx and Windows/IIS checks, and organizational pilots remain open.
Users run Sapiqo on their own machine or server with SQLite or their own MariaDB backend. A centrally hosted LMS is outside this project's publication scope. Updated September 30, 2026.
